FAQ'S

Q: Why should I join now?
A: There are many perks to being a member, not the least of which is the contact with other members whose work and knowledge can be quite educational. At the national level, the EAA provides an enormous source of aviation-related information on their extensive website.

Q: What is it that the EAA does exactly?
A: The local chapters of EAA provide a technical and social atmosphere for its members to further their interests and involvement in the aviation field. Local chapters pattern their activities to accommodate the specific interests of their members.

Q: Do you have to be an engineer or pilot to join?
A: Although many of our members are, there are no restrictions and anyone with an interest in airplanes, flight or science is invited to join.

Q: Is the EAA affiliated with the FAA or any other government agency?
A: We are not a state or federal agency, although we have done research for various agencies and continue to cooperate with the FAA and other institutions (such as ASTM) to provide the collective wisdom of the organization to these groups.
